Thinking Portland was a city with honest and honorable leaders when I arrived from Montana 1968 makes me vomit at my naivety. "We are not corrupt like Chicago" or so the thinking went. This story wasn't just about corruption or tragedy--it was a crime which will never see justice. When will it happen again?
Who needs the Lolita Express when you've got the state's major newspaper's editor, City Hall, the mayor's chauffeur (law enforcement), the girl's parents, and numerous others obviously, lying and covering up for your repeated ongoing rape of an 8th grade girl? Portland's own Donald Trump, who bought his own beauty contest to insure access to dozens of young women in various stages of undress any time he wanted - the kind of access Goldschmidt could only dream of. A little bird perched next to her window in the evening (or sitting behind his honor's desk) is worth two in a beauty contest or on pedophile island....🤮 Seems to be the same guardians of pedophelia who were marshalled to cover up, perhaps even plan, Michael Francke's murder. Why? Because they can.
What??? You think that Trump is a pedophile?? He's the most targeted man in the history of the American legal system, don't you think they would have found some evidence by now??
It’s so sad when something that was already so bad gets even worse. It’s deplorable when people protect their political agendas over the safety of a CHILD or anyone for that matter.
With a history like that, old Neil would have been a great candidate for president. You don't get there without having a mountain of dirt in your closet. And nobody had to set him up- a real self-made scum bag.

You missed it with Neil Goldschmidt and have never apologized for the appalling coverage of his multi-year rape of a minor nor of Sandra Rowe's in-house censorship of Margie Boule.
Until you acknowledge this and respond to Phil Stanford, your paper will continue to decline.
Reading this today, reminded me of Joe Biden and Anita Hill's testimony before his committee in the Senate. His glibly side stepping her testimony is what allowed Clarance Thomas to get a seat on the Supreme Court. When I saw your header I thoght you might be refering to Goldschmidt's first wife, she could tell some stories.
But I don't think she ever will. In fact after the story finally came out, as I recall, she was one of several who tried to say that the girl had seduced Goldschmidt.
